The short answer is: everyone!
Herring, while long considered to taste good, is proven to be good for both our minds and our bodies. Research now tells us that certain types of fish, herring among them, are an excellent choice for healthy eating.

Both herring and horseradish must be kept refrigerated at all times.
An unopened jar of herring can last up to one year in your fridge. Once opened, however, a jar can last roughly ten days provided both the fish and onions are submerged in brine and hygiene is maintained.
Please refer to the best before date and proper handling conditions printed on each and every jar.
An unopened jar of horseradish can last up to eight months under the proper storage conditions. However, the "heat" of the horseradish that we all love does naturally start to fade after a few months. Keep your product fresh to ensure premium quality.
Please refer to the best before date and proper handling conditions printed on each and every jar.
When frozen, contents within the glass jar will expand, which could potentially cause cracks to occur. Studies have shown that when thawed, the texture of frozen herring differs when compared to the texture in its original state.

Rest assured, the wine content in our herring is negligible.
Kosher wine is simply added to our brine in miniscule quantities (i.e. less than 0.0001%) for ceremonial purposes and has zero alcoholic impact on the finished good. Further, because there is so little of it in any given jar, we are not required to declare wine as ingredient – we do so out of tradition.
We offer several alternative products that may better align with your preferences, examples being our Dill, Lunch, or Spiced Matjes.
